At NTO Commercial, our leadership combines big-firm experience with a personal touch. Founder Dan Hansen built NTO on the belief that great projects start with strong relationships and straightforward communication. Joining him, Joel brings fresh perspective and real estate know-how, keeping every project balanced, efficient, and people-focused. Together, they lead with a calm, hands-on approach that makes building feel simple and stress-free.

President
Dan founded NTO Commercial in 2015 to offer a more personal, no-nonsense approach to commercial construction. After 16 years with a large general contractor, he set out to blend big-firm expertise with small-firm flexibility—and build strong, lasting partnerships.
Rooted in North Texas, Dan brings hands-on leadership, local connections, and a commitment to keeping projects smooth, on budget, and client-friendly from start to finish.
Fun fact: NTO stands for Nebraska, Texas, and Oklahoma—three states that shaped Dan’s journey. He’s a Husker by heart, a Sooner grad, and a proud Texan builder.
At the end of the day, Dan believes in rolling up sleeves, solving problems, and getting things done right—with good people by his side.

Joel joined NTO in 2023, bringing a unique blend of construction know-how and commercial real estate insight. With experience balancing the needs of tenants and landlords—and a background in drafting, design, and construction engineering—he pairs technical skill with a people-first approach.
He’s driven by helping clients bring their vision to life, whether it’s a first location, a growing expansion, or a space that just fits.
Known for his calm, solutions-focused mindset, Joel values strong relationships and clear communication. His goal: reduce stress, deliver smart results, and make the process feel seamless.
